Some of our favourite Web sites!

Jamie's picks:

Ars Technica: "
This site has top notch contributors that have the ability to dig up interesting information across all tech & geekdom.  Their active community often comments on articles with enthusiasm, and the policies of ARS helps keep trolls at bay.  As a side note, they also have the cleanest and best laid out mobile version of their site that I have yet to see rivaled."

Life Hacker: "This site pulls from many resources around the Web to give me all sorts of new ways to think about everyday things."

Ben Nadel’s Personal blog http://www.bennadel.com and company site Epicenter http://www.epicenterconsulting.com:
"Ben is one the top respected ColdFusion developers in the world.  I personally believe that he is *the* best developer in the world, but not solely based on his CF skills, but more on his ability to think through the proper architecture of a problem before tackling it.  I subscribe to the gospel of “Obsessively Thorough Design” and I apply those principles to the products that REM delivers."

Joe's picks:
Design Shack: "I visit this site for purely creative inspiration/design ideas. When I have a creative block or just need to be inspired there are many interesting designs from the world’s top designers all indexed in different and interesting ways."

jQuery UI: "I visit this site often in an effort to keep on top of current technologies especially as they relate to design and presentation of graphics and content on a website. These applications can sometimes inspire or help give direction in terms of clever ways to present content on a website."

Web Designer Depot: "Helps me keep up with latest technologies and trends in design and development."

Rob's picks:
Porsche: "I love Porsche’s! The site is well laid out to easily find the information you want considering how big the Web site is."

MSN (Canadian site): "Well laid out news Web site considering how much information is there - a lot of good information."

Skymall: "I do not like the design or site overall but love the cool products they sell.  You can find the coolest gift ideas."

Ryan's picks:
Twitter:
"I follow a lot of folks in the entertainment and software development industries and I find they post links with fresh perspectives on a lot of interesting topics I might not have heard about otherwise."

IGN.com: "This is my go-to place for video game related journalism, discussion and reviews.  There are a lot of games being published every day now, and having a trustworthy news source to separate the good from the bad is always a plus."

DI.fm: "One of the best, internet-radio Web sites available for electronic music enthusiasts who need some tunes to listen to while they work."

Sandra's picks:
Bear Grylls: "I love Man vs. Wild, so when I came across Bear Grylls' Web site, it was not a surprise that it was just as in your face exciting as his TV show. The design is simple yet unique."

Forever 21 (Canadian site): "I love to shop online, and this is one of my favourite companies to buy from. The site is so easy to use --you find what you are looking for quickly."

Decide.com: "Takes the guesswork out of which TV, Camera, or Phone to buy. And for me, that’s awesome because I like to research and learn about electronics before I buy them. I have heard that in the future they will be adding more products!"

Sean's picks:

StumbleUpon: "This website is an outstanding discovery engine that finds the best of the web, recommended just for you. A useful tool to refresh your mind during those difficult times of day!"

thefwa.com: "Favourite Website Awards-- Web Awards recognising the very best in cutting edge website design. Thefwa has always helped me to stay focused on current design trends and has been a great resource for inspiration."

Smashing Magazine:
"Smashing Magazine is an online magazine for professional Web designers and developers with focus on valuable techniques, best practices and useful tutorials."

Wes's picks:
Grooveshark: "Stream radio and music, make your own playlists, and interact--all in one spot!"

Dabbleboard: "Your virtual whiteboard. It is great for getting your point across in meetings!"

Goo.gl: "Allows you to create short URLs that can be easily shared, tweeted, or emailed to friends."
